If the DCO is unavailable (off duty) and there is an “emergency”, call 911.  

The DCO only provides service for dogs. For nuisance wildlife or other animals, if it is an emergency, please contact your local police department. In other instances you may wish to contract a private trapper (please check in the Yellow Pages); or you may wish to call the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The following is the contact for our County:
