ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

MEETING

AUGUST 8, 2006

Meeting was called to order at 7:35 by Chairman Maggie Schmidt.

Present were Audrey Ketchum, Maggie Schmidt, and Ed Malis.  Nilda Burke and Kurt Vanderhorst were excused, as well as Secretary Chris Nelson.

Ed made a motion to approve the minutes of the July meeting and hearing as written, Chip seconded the motion.  All in favor.   

Maggie told the Board there is a conference coming up October in Saratoga.  Maggie asked those interested in attending to let her know she the vouchers can be submitted.  Maggie advised to search the NYS Planning Federation website for more information.  

Under new business, there will be a hearing on September 12^th.  The property is located at 1262 Sacandaga Road.  Owner wants to divide 76.19 acres into four lots, each being approximately 16 acres.  Three lots would have 230’ of frontage leaving only 133’ frontage for the fourth. 

The Board was informed that the public hearings will now be scheduled for 7:45 instead of 8:00 P.M. giving time for a short meeting prior to the hearings.

There was no other business.  A motion was made by Ed to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Audrey.  All in favor.
