Bid Opening for Dump Body

 

The Special meeting of the Town Board of Charlton, Saratoga County, New York held at 1:00pm at the Charlton Town Hall, called to order by Supervisor Grattidge.

 

Present:  Councilman Verola, Supervisor Grattidge and Town Clerk Heather Scribner

 

Others Present: Highway Foreman Mike Emerich and Superintendent of Highways Ron Gavin

 

Heather Scribner read the legal notice placed in the Gazette Newspaper on November 3, 2006.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

                     

 

            The Town of Charlton Highway Department currently purchased a truck, cab and chassis and in order to perform all necessary functions required by the Highway Department, the Highway Superintendent has advised the Town Board and has prepared minimum specifications entitled “Equipment Spec #06-1 OPT 1 Minimum Specifications Multi-Purpose Dump Body & Plow Equipment”, which equipment is necessary for the proper use and operation of the aforementioned truck, cab and chassis, which has been used by the Town Highway Department in its services to the residents of the Town of Charlton.

 

The Town Highway Superintendent is hereby authorized to advertise for sealed bids for such multi-purpose dump body and plow equipment, which bids shall be received by no later than 10:00 a.m. at the Charlton Town Hall on Monday, November 13, 2006 and that such bids will be opened at 1:00 p.m. by the Town Board.

 

All Corporations submitting proposals shall be authorized to do business in the State of New York.  Specifications and proposals may be obtained from the Highway Garage, 4008 Jockey St., Charlton, NY 12019.  Sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the Town Clerk 784 Charlton Rd, Charlton, NY 12019.

 

            The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formal bid requirements as may be determined by the Town Board with respect to the best interests of the residents of the Town of Charlton.
