Workshop meeting on the Water District

The Special meeting of the Town Board of Charlton, Saratoga County, New York held at 4:00pm at the Charlton Town Hall, called to order by Supervisor Grattidge.

Present:  Councilman Gardner, Councilman Lippiello, Councilman Verola and Supervisor Grattidge

Others Present:  Jim Mitchell Environmental Design Partnership, Superintendent of Water John Morgan

Absent: Councilman Salisbury

The town board discussed the Water District and its issues regarding potential future projects.  The projects would include a by pass valve at the main pumping station and replacement of distribution valves at the intersection of Stage Road and Beechwood Drive.  Additional projects would include painting of the water tower both inside and out.

A motion made by Supervisor Grattidge seconded by Councilman Lippiello, to authorize the Superintendent of Water to purchase certain materials and hire a contractor for the replacement of two old and installing two new hydrants on Old Stage Road for a cost not to exceed $32,000.00.

Roll call vote:  Councilman Gardner: Aye, Councilman Lippiello: Aye, Councilman Salisbury: Absent, Councilman Verola: Aye, Supervisor Grattidge: Aye  Approved

Supervisor Grattidge adjourned the meeting at 5:30pm.
