  • Oliver Adams Cemetery - Photos 1 & 2 - Old Sign and the sole remaining tombstone in the cemetery - Byron Callen - b 1848 d 4 May 1852. . . . the following from an excerpt from "The Adams Farm on Northline Road" by Winifred Palmateer, May 1992 - Oliver and Catharine Adams are buried on the farm - west side of Cook Road - where the cemetery sign is. From an old letter, we know Joel Adams was buried there. I don't know about Nancy Hallowell Adams, but we do know some of the Adams were buried there and later moved to the West Charlton Cemetery - not Oliver and Catharine though.

He built two log-houses and began to cultivate his land. At the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, compelled by the ferocity of the Indians, he left his farm and went temporarily to Albany. There he met Esther Nielson (her mother lived in Kirkowan, Galloway, Scotland. About 1783 William & his wife returned to the deserted farm in Saratoga County.
