MINUTES, Public Hearing to hear input on proposed Local
Law #1 of 2004, A Local Law Providing for the Appointment of Alternate Members
to the Town of Charlton Planning Board
and Zoning Board of Appeals held at 7:00
P.M. on Monday,
November 29, 2004 at the Town Hall.

The
meeting was called to order by Supervisor Acunto.
The
Town Clerk read the legal notice. It
appeared in The Gazette on November 19.
Supervisor
Acunto explained that we have Local Law #1 of 2002 Appointing Alternate Members
to the Town of Charlton Planning Board
and Zoning Board of Appeals.
Local
Law #1 of 2004, and the purpose of this public hearing, is to modify our
previous local law by establishing a provision that an alternate member of
either board may participate if there is a conflict of interest. The original local law did not have that
option in it.
Jay
Wilkinson – Peaceable Street
- Stated that he attended the meeting to see how the process worked and what
changes were being made.
Ray
Black – Planning Board Chairman – Said he felt the change would give the boards
the flexibility they need.
Motion
made by Councilman Lippiello, seconded by Councilman Verola to close the public
hearing be approved:

Acunto said that we would probably adopt this local law at the next Town Board
Meeting.
