The legal notice appeared in The Daily Gazette on

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Acunto.

Supervisor Acunto – A handout has been made available to everyone. The total budget for Highway and General is a total of $1,700,295.00. It is approximately a 5.9 % increase over last year’s budget. There is basically a 4 % across the board increase in most of the areas with substantial increases in health insurance, which is approximately a 12 % increase and a NYS retirement increase that we calculated at approximately 54.8 %. In addition to that, we have received notification that our liability insurance could possibly have an increase of 10 % or more. By law, our insurance carrier must notify us if there is a possibility of an increase of over 10%. They have put us on notice that it will be over 10 %. Within the budget itself there is an increase in roadwork of $20,000.00. There is an added increase of $5,000.00 regarding storm drainage management. We have put in an ad valorem increase from Glenville. They have said we can anticipate somewhere around 2 ˝ times what the ad valorem is right now. Basically, that is an executive summary of the budget.

The Town Clerk read the legal notice that was placed in the paper.

The public hearing was open to the floor for comment. No one wished to speak.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:05 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
Gail Hanchar
Town Clerk
